Libby's Legacy

Libby Steadham was a lifelong advocate and teacher who believed eating healthy foods is the foundation of good nutrition and wellness.
A devoted supporter and long-time vendor at the OBFM, Libby carried her passion into writing Seasonal Cooking from the Garden in 2021- a cookbook filled with recipes and personal stories about growing and preparing fresh produce.
One of her final wishes was for the OBFM to continue offering her cookbook, with proceeds benefiting a local organization that promotes healthy eating and nutrition.
Libby's Legacy in Action
Libby’s Legacy is alive and thriving at the Olde Beaufort Farmers’ Market. Through free chef demonstrations, hands-on gardening tips, beekeeping education, and more, her passion for healthy eating and learning continues to grow.
Seasonal Cooking from the Garden in Coastal North Carolina
In 2021, Libby wrote Seasonal Cooking from the Garden in Coastal North Carolina, a cookbook filled with recipes and stories about fresh, seasonal food.
At her request, the OBFM continues to sell the book and hosts cooking and healthy eating demos in her memory. Easy to follow and wriiten with love, it's the perfect gift!
