One of the best parts of the Olde Beaufort Farmers’ Market is seeing kids learning, laughing, and exploring right alongside their families. Every Saturday, the Kids’ Tent is a lively, welcoming space designed just for them—where learning and fun go hand in hand, and participation is always free.
Our kids’ activities are thoughtfully planned to spark curiosity and creativity while helping children connect with food, nature, and their community. From hands-on crafts and seasonal projects to simple lessons about farming, gardening, and healthy eating, kids get the chance to learn by doing. Many activities are tied to what’s happening at the market that day, giving children a deeper understanding of where food comes from and who grows or makes it.
The Kids’ Tent also gives families a chance to slow down and enjoy the market together. While children are engaged in a safe, fun activity, parents can browse vendors, chat with farmers, and soak in the relaxed, friendly market atmosphere. It’s a win for everyone.
Beyond the tent, the market itself becomes part of the experience. Kids can meet local farmers, listen to live music, explore the book mobile, and see firsthand how a community comes together each week. These moments help build connections that last far beyond Saturday morning.

We invite families to bring their kids, make a morning of it, and explore all the Olde Beaufort Farmers’ Market has to offer. Come learn, play, and create memories—together—at OBFM.
