There’s something special about the little moments that happen at the OBFM each week—the conversations, the connections, and the joy people bring to the market. 🌿
This past Saturday, longtime volunteer Laurel Watts met a young visitor shopping for an OBFM t-shirt. He carefully considered the colors, asking Laurel what she thought before finally choosing a white shirt because the blue logo made such a nice contrast. Laurel told him he was the most enthusiastic customer they’d had all day—and he loved the comment so much that he repeated it to another shopper as he walked away smiling.
As Laurel shared, “We each made each other feel special, and this sort of thing is why I love volunteering at the OBFM.” It’s these simple, human moments that make the market such a meaningful place.
