We want our children to grow up knowing exactly where their food comes from. We want them to learn that animals deserve to be treated with respect, that the land should be cared for, and that hard work still matters.
There was a time when every family knew where their food came from. Children grew up watching their grandparents tend gardens, collect eggs before breakfast, and raise animals with care and respect. Dinner wasn't just another meal, it was the reward for hard work, family, and faith.
Somewhere along the way, we lost that connection.
Today, most of us walk into a grocery store, pick up a package wrapped in plastic, and
never think twice about where it came from. We don't know who raised the animal, how
it lived, what it was fed, or how many miles it traveled before it reached our table.
That didn't sit right with us.
When Emily and I started Chadwick Family Homestead it was because we wanted something better for our family.
We want our children to grow up knowing exactly where their food comes from. We
want them to learn that animals deserve to be treated with respect, that the land should
be cared for, and that hard work still matters.
Every morning starts long before the sun comes up. The chickens are waiting to be moved onto fresh pasture. The pigs are eager for breakfast. Fences need repairing. Waterers need checking. There are no days off and
no shortcuts. It's hard work—but it's work we believe in.
When our chickens spend their days chasing bugs, scratching through fresh grass, and
soaking up sunshine, they're doing exactly what God designed them to do. When our pigs are rooting in the soil, exploring fresh pasture, and enjoying the outdoors, we know they're living the way pigs were meant to live.
We believe animals raised with care produce food you can feel good about serving your
family.
Every package of meat we sell represents months of early mornings, late nights, sweat,
prayers, and a commitment to doing things the right way—not the easy way.
Could we raise more animals by keeping them confined? Probably. Would it be easier? Absolutely.
But that's not why we farm.
We believe that quality will always matter more than quantity. When you choose Chadwick Family Homestead, you're choosing more than pasture-raised chicken and pork.
You're choosing to support a young family chasing a dream.
You're choosing to keep farmland in production instead of seeing it disappear.
You're choosing to teach your children that local farmers still matter.
You're choosing food from animals that were raised with care—not simply produced.
And perhaps most importantly, you're choosing to know the people who feed your
family.
Every time you place an order, visit us at the farm, or stop the farmers’ markets, you're
becoming part of our story. Your support allows us to continue improving our farm, caring for our animals, and
building something that we hope will be passed down for generations to come.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
Thank you for believing in local farmers.
Thank you for believing that food should have a story.
Thank you for allowing our family to feed yours.
We hope you can taste the difference—but even more than that, we hope you can feel it.
God Bless,
Tyler & Emily Chadwick
